FAQs

Can I commission you for a piece?

Absolutely! I love working on one off unique pieces. Head over to my contact page and fill out the form and we can go from there.

In terms of a time line, please allow 6-12 weeks on a piece. For example, if it is a one off vase, this will be on the shorter end of the time line. If you want 30 cups for a coffee shop, then that would take closer to 12 weeks.

Can I return an item?

Please read my refund policy.

Ceramics are expensive?

As these pieces are all individually hand crafted it entails a huge amount of work just to create one piece. Along with studio time, two firings at very high temperatures as well as skill, every potters ceramics will cost more than the average high street price. These pieces are all unique and no two will ever be exactly the same.

Are the pieces dishwasher safe?

Yep! Although I wouldn’t recommend it. Handwashing is far more gentle and will aid in the longevity of the piece.

Are they oven and microwave safe?

To be honest, I’ve not tried the oven and I’m not going to. lol. My sister used one of the first plates I threw in the microwave and it cracked in two clean pieces almost immediately. So learn from her mistake and please don’t do that. Fanx.

What can I do if it breaks?

Just like human emotions, ceramics can break as well. It can be fixed depending on the breakage, time, money and effort as well as learning something new. I’ve had a few pieces which broke from a couple heavy handed family members, and I’ve repaired my piece using the Japanese art of Kintsugi. Kintsugi is the art of repairing broken pottery and shows the pots history. It’s pretty cool and gives the piece more character. Totally worth giving a go.
